JBL PartyBox 300 Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker
Measuring 27.1 by 12.2 by 12.6 inches (HWD) and weighing in at a cumbersome 35 pounds. The PartyBox 300 has built-in handles, as well as built-in rubber feet on two side panels. The bottom panel as well, so it can be oriented vertically or horizontally.
It’s easiest to operate when vertical, because the top panel houses the controls. When laid on its side, the controls are still accessible, you just have to squat down to use them.
Believe it or not, this beast is portable, in the sense that it can be moved around. It can operate off of its internal battery.
The upside of the battery is that it can go for up to 18 hours—though this will largely depend on your volume levels, so if you’re blasting it and using the LEDs, expect lower numbers. The downside is that the battery takes five hours to fully charge.
The input panel on the back of the speaker houses connections for RCA, 3.5mm aux, and USB connections. As well as the dedicated mic and guitar inputs, which each have their own gain knobs directly above them.
Both inputs are a quarter-inch, so if you’re thinking of using an XLR mic, you’ll need to buy an adapter. There’s also an RCA output, and a left/right channel button for pairing up two of these speakers and powering what could become your eviction party.
